چکیده
Abstract Turbo-electric Distributed Propulsion (TeDP) is a promising concept to achieve the operational goals of more electric aircraft. The application TeDP architecture can desired weight reduction an aircraft power system. use superconducting machine expected provide workaround for issue, but its current state technology has not yet been extensively tested applications. Another practical option directly couple aircraft's propeller system high-speed permanent magnet (PM) electrical machine, eliminating gear part that also contributes total weight. A critical design PM choosing optimum configurations. This study used finite element modelling analyze impact scaling PM’s parameters on and speed. prototype testing 2-KW suitable Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS), was developed tested. results confirmed following should be carefully designed output, such as (a) number winding turns, (b) stack length, (c) sleeve thickness, (d) terminal voltage.

متن کاملOn a Low-Power High-Speed MAP Turbo Decoder Design
Turbo codes have become part of the third generation W-CDMA systems because of their extraordinary coding performance. However, decoder implementation in commercial systems suffers from power, latency and complexity limitations. Here, we address new optimization techniques to overcome these problems. This paper makes two contributions. First, SISO block is designed in a pipeline approach which ...
متن کاملOptimization of Direct Drive Induction Motors for Electric Ship Propulsion with High Speed Propellers
Direct drive electric ship propulsion can offer increased flexibility and reduced overall fuel consumption compared to geared mechanical systems [Davis 1987, Doerry 2007]. As a well-established technology, induction motors are a dependable and economical option for electrically controlled ship propulsion, but their size and weight are large due to the relatively low propeller speeds. Increasing...
متن کاملElectric Propulsion for Solar System Exploration
The use of ion propulsion for deep-space missions will become a reality in 1998 with the ight of the ion-propelled, New Millennium Deep Space 1 (DS1) spacecraft. The anticipation of this event is stimulating the call for improved ion propulsion technologies, a trend that is expected to continue. This paper describes the evaluation of possible advanced solar electric propulsion technologies an...
